About Your Providers
Jonathon G. Dewald, MD, FACP, is a board-certified internal medicine physician. He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta and completed his residency in internal medicine at Eugene Talmadge Memorial Hospital (now Augusta University Health Medical Center). Dr. Dewald is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Dewald has been practicing medicine in Wilson since July 1984 when he joined Carolina Clinic, which eventually became Wilson Carolina Medicine Clinic. He became an independent practitioner upon the dissolution of the clinic and has been on active staff at Wilson Medical Center and serving patients in Wilson County for nearly 34 years.
Chasity Godwin is a certified family nurse practitioner. She received her Master of Science in Nursing from Duke University School of Nursing and her Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing from Barton College. Chasity specializes in primary/preventative care, annual physicals, management of acute care, management of chronic illnesses, women's health services and minor procedures. She also has a special interest in exercise, general health and wellness.
Insurance and Payment
We participate in most area health plans, including Cigna, United Healthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Medcost, Tricare and others. We also accept Medicare and Medicaid.
We must have a copy of your current insurance card. Please bring your insurance card to every visit for verification.
Payment is expected at the time of service, including co-payments. You are responsible for co-payments, deductibles, co-insurance, and non-covered services.
About Your Appointment
Arrive to your appointment at the designated time. You may need to arrive a few minutes before your appointment to fill out paperwork or for laboratory testing. Bring all of your medications to every visit. You are responsible for updating us on any changes in your name, address, phone number, or insurance coverage.
