Wilson Medical Center Implements Visitor Restrictions due to Flu Activity
December 31, 2018
Due to an increase in flu activity in the community, Wilson Medical Center is implementing visitor restrictions. In order to keep our patients healthy, no children under the age of 12 may visit patient care areas.
Additionally, if you have any of the following symptoms, do not visit patient care areas:
- Fever or feeling feverish/chills
- Sore throat
- Runny or stuffy nose
- Muscle or body aches with fatigue (tiredness)
- Vomiting and diarrhea
For your protection and others, please use the waterless hand cleanser upon entering and exiting patient rooms or any othter patient care areas.
The best defense against the flu is to get a flu vaccination each year. Practice everyday preventive actions to help reduce the spread of germs: avoid close contact with people who are sick, proper hand hygiene, etc. For more information about how you can help fight the flu this season, visit http://www.cdc.gov/flu/.
