What is a Patient and Family Advisory Council?
The Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC) is a collaborative group of hospital staff, patients and family members. The council meets regularly with hospital staff to help identify opportunities to improve the patient and family experience.
Who We Are

Since the council’s inception in 2017, the PFAC has:
- Reviewed various materials, programs and services related to marketing, facility signage, inpatient room communication boards, patient comfort options, patient meal services and patient safety and experience surveys
- Toured and provided feedback regarding the new Women’s Pavilion and Cardiovascular Services unit
