Wilson Immediate Care to Join Wilson Physician Services

Wilson Immediate Care has joined Wilson Physician Services, the employed medical group of Wilson Medical Center, effective March 1, expanding access to urgent and occupational health services and strengthening connections across care settings for patients and employers in the Wilson area. The practice will see patients beginning March 10. 

Wilson Immediate Care provides a broad range of services for patients of all ages, including care for sudden and ongoing illness, minor acute injuries and occupational medicine services such as workman’s compensation care, preemployment and sports physicals, alcohol and drug testing, audiograms, on-site x-ray and laboratory services and travel vaccines.  

The transition supports closer coordination between urgent care, primary care and specialty services, helping patients navigate care more seamlessly within the Wilson Physician Services network when additional or follow up care is needed. Patients and occupational health clients will continue to see the same providers and staff, and the services they rely on today will remain unchanged.

Patients and occupational health clients will continue to see the same trusted providers and staff. Services will remain the same, with the addition of expanded hours to better serve patients, working families and employers. The clinic will be open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. 

To complete operational system integration associated with this transition, the clinic will be temporarily closed Sunday, March 1 through Monday, March 9. The practice will reopen on Tuesday, March 10.
