Speech Therapy

What Is Speech Therapy?

Speech therapy involves the evaluation and treatment of disorders related to speech, swallowing and communication. Upon the referral of a physician, licensed speech-language pathologists (SLPs) work with patients to address cognitive and motor disabilities, helping to restore essential functions.

Our Speech Therapy Services

SLP services provide daily assessment and treatment for a wide range of conditions, including:

  • Head and neck cancer
  • Memory impairments (stroke, brain injury, chemo brain)
  • Neurological impairments
  • Speech impairments (slurred speech, dysarthria, apraxia)
  • Swallowing disorders (dysphagia)
  • Tracheostomy support (assessment for Passy-Muir speaking valve)
  • Verbal and written communication

The primary goal of these services is to help patients regain the ability to communicate clearly and swallow safely.
