Parker named September Employee of the Month

Congratulations to Joyce Parker, LPN, Wilson Gastroenterology. This year she celebrates 24 years of service at Wilson Medical Center.

When asked why Joyce loves her job, she said, “Sometimes it just takes a listening ear and reassurance and explanation regarding what to expect such as medication refills and procedures.”

Joyce lives in Wilson with her husband, Verrinzo. The two have five children, 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Joyce enjoys spending time with her mother, fishing, gardening, completing DYI projects, reading and sewing.

“Joyce is so humble, so helpful and so caring to all her patients and co-workers. She makes every patient feel like family. She goes above and beyond lending a helping hand to everyone and has such a rapport with the providers. You can always count on her to be present and give 110%. She is a true gem to our organization. ”
